THE STANDARD CHAIR
George Morgan presents his debut furniture piece, the Standard Chair. The first item to be released from Morgan’s Standard Collection, which consists of 11 pieces and was born from his desire to populate his projects with furniture that doesn’t fight for attention but elegantly complements other design-led elements. For Morgan, it’s all about balance and contrast.
The collection takes inspiration from French Art Deco furniture of the 1920s, with an emphasis on low, wide proportions that reinforce a sense of repose. Standing 75cm tall, the Standard Chair is intentionally the same height as a dining table.
